For this installment of the DJ Sessions, KCRW DJ Anthony Valadez shares his picks, including one artist that reminded Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson of the R&B group Color Me Badd, popular in the ’90s — and still popular with Anthony Valadez.

The playlist includes Canadian producer and performer duo Majid Jordan, laid back and psyched-out soulman Nick Hakim, two-piece soul group Silk Rhodes, Amy Winehouse protege Liam Bailey and, of course, ’90s R&B group Color Me Badd.

Note: We now have a Spotify playlist for our weekly DJ Sessions segment. The playlist will be updated each week with new songs. Spotify is free to use, but requires a login.

Songs In This Segment

Majid Jordan, “Forever”

Drake ft. Majid Jordan, “Hold On, We’re Going Home”

Nick Hakim, “Cold”

Silk Rhodes, “Pains”

Liam Bailey, “Stun Me”

Color Me Badd, “All 4 Love”
