A Web App Helps Teachers See Where Students Are Stumped

Here & Now Guest:

  • Professor Neil Heffernan, associate professor of computer science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Professor Neil Heffernan of Worcester Polytechnic Institute has come up with ASSISTments, a web-based application that helps teachers do just that. Heffernan came up with the idea when he was teaching math in a Baltimore middle school as part of the Teach for America program.
