Here & Now listeners have been writing in to explain a technological tangle. It seems that Siri gets confused when host Robin Young – or one WBUR’s underwriting voices, Mary Ann Nichols – says “it’s Here & Now” or “this Here & Now podcast.”

Siri apparently thinks they’re saying “hey Siri,” and chimes in by either transcribing what comes next or googling it. Kerry O’Malley emailed us a video of it happening. She talks with Robin Young.
