Few are praising Uber’s new logo.

The ride-hailing company Uber released a new logo and app icon Tuesday, to much criticism. While most companies outsource rebranding to a graphic design firm, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick took the unusual step of taking a major role in the decision-making.

Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson speaks with graphic designer Armin Vit about what he makes of Uber’s new logo, and what, generally, makes a successful logo.
