Rainn Wilson is known for playing the awkward, ambitious and sometimes morally reprehensible Dwight Schrute on NBC’s “The Office.” His new memoir, “The Bassoon King: My Life in Art, Faith, and Idiocy,” shows the actor to be a kind of “anti-Dwight,” a man of deep faith, service and contemplation.

The book follows Wilson’s evolution from an unorthodox upbringing in Seattle, through his decision to become an actor, and his coming back to the spirituality of his parents, the Baha’i faith.

Here & Now’s Meghna Chakrabarti spoke with Rainn Wilson on Radio Boston in November. Today, we revisit that conversation.
