New Mexico native Raul Midón‘s music defies categorization.

He’s worked with everyone from Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder to Jason Mraz, Queen Latifah and Snoop Dogg.

He’s a guitar virtuoso and singer-songwriter who has released seven albums since 1999. His latest album, “Don’t Hesitate,” is out now.

And for the first time Midón, who’s been blind since birth, was able to produce and engineer his own music, using special software for the blind in his home studio.

He joins Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson to discuss making the new album.
