Texas To Election Observers: Don’t Mess With Us

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott (Eric Gay/AP)

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is threatening to prosecute any voting monitors who come within 100 feet of a polling place.

The monitors are from an international group called the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and they observe elections in countries around the world.

In this election, civil rights advocates had asked them to observe the polls in states including Texas, where voter ID laws and early voting restrictions have been concerns.

When the monitors objected to the Texas attorney generals’ threats of prosecution, the Abbot tweeted, “Bring it.”

Why does Texas think it can do whatever it wants!  If they handle the election legitimately, they should have nothing to worry about???

Just unbelievable!  The things the Republicans will have us believe.  And what they get away with.  It is just unbelievable.
