Two of our favorite musicians were recognized recently with Americana Music Awards. Gillian Welch was named Artist of the Year and David Rawlings Instrumentalist of the Year for his guitar playing.

Welch and Rawlings are longtime partners, musically and romantically.

We spoke to them last year when Gillian’s latest cd, “The Harrow And The Harvest,” which features Dave’s singing and playing, was released. It was her first CD in eight years.

Guest:

  • Gillian Welch, Singer-songwriter
  • David Rawlings, musician
