  There is no registration at the state level concerning long guns except certain semi-auto rifles in CA 10 years ago. FBI NICS checks apply to everyone buying from a federally licensed dealer. Handgun registration as practiced in NY or MA is different. The MT law concerning in-state made arms of certain types is under litigation in an appeallate court. Form 4473s are still required on MT-made weapons just as before the 2009 law on MT made weapons. So, unless the court case info is wrong, Holthouse was uniformed or purposely vague.

I normally love Here and Now, but was actually pretty disgusted by this show. It felt like an hour-long advertisement for the white supremecist community. The reporter kept repeating – and I paraphrase – ‘If you don’t like blacks or Mexicans, have no job and want a group of like-minded people to live with who will take good care of you, move to Flathead Valley, Montana!” I fear this report may serve to increase this aweful group’s numbers, and that would be the worst possible scenario…

If people want to check out the American Indian Movement (AIM) they will find many examples of standing up to the US Government in opposition to true genocide, not this silly white stuff. My son was conceived in the Flathead Valley in the late ’80s and so today’s show caught my ear. The Flathead is a wonderful, joyful part of the US and it sickens me that the atmosphere of trust and caring that makes life sweet there is also attracting this latest wave of neo-Nazis. And believe me, that’s what they are.�
I lived in Northern Idaho, Montana and Northeast Washington for many years, 70′s thru 90′s and experienced the disturbing day-to-day reality of white supremacy, often cleverly disguised as a Constitutional-ist outlook . There were lots and lots of racists around back then and this show concerns me in that as the commentator noted, what’s happening in the Flathead Valley is a public organizational move.�
If anyone recalls the Richard Butler compound in northern Idaho they will recall that the acceptance of local people allowed that compound to be built. The same is true for any racist stronghold. The community where these individuals and families show up have to say no to them and send them packing. They need to be very public in their resistance and outcry. That rarely happens. People want to be “open”. They don’t want to get involved. Often they simply don’t want to believe it’s happening so they look the other way. There’s nothing in this movement that warrants “openness”. These are hateful people bent on committing hateful crimes. They arm themselves with guns, explosives and Bibles and are every bit as dangerous as Islamic radicals, Zionists–any religious group willing to arm itself and kill others to carry out its agenda. But most significantly–skinheads and guys in KKK hoods are easy to spot, but most white supremacists don’t look like the disturbing individuals they turn out to be when you get to know them. They can be wives, mothers, husbands, dads, teachers, farmers, ranchers–in short–the folks next door. In the mid 80s my husband of the time was seduced by the Constitutional aspect of this movement and being a young guy and naive, had no idea that there was a hatred component lurking in the rhetoric. He was a hippie, organic farmer, tree planter,old-time musician, this guy was a gentle soul, not racist in any way but definitely radical if one wants to call it that, in his desire to make the world a better place through agriculture and alternative living. He was a progressive, an independent thinker and they almost had him…he was drawn to the sovereign individual vocabulary of the supremacy movement which in his mind meant the right to live as a free individual doing no harm, who shouldn’t have to carry a driver’s license to enjoy the privilege of driving on common roads, shouldn’t have to get a permit to build on his own land etc. We frequented the home of a man who became my husband’s mentor. A funny, engaging man who was a musician and carpenter. His family went to church on Sunday and had potluck music jams at their house all the time. As it turns out, this same guy had an arsenal in his cellar along with canned fruits and veggies from his garden. These were not hunting rifles, these were automatic weapons and hand grenades there on the shelf along with the stored up beans and rice. This same guy visited Randy Weaver before the FBI shootout and was hugely sympathetic to what happened to Weaver’s family. The constitutionalists love idealists like my ex-husband, disgruntled with the government and ready for change. They seek them out as recruits. When he was arrested for not carrying a driver’s license they made him into a poster child, convincing him to go on a hunger strike in jail. He was on the evening news. No one mentioned white supremacy the whole time. It wasn’t until he was out of jail that it began to dawn on him, that these “nice people” believe that Jews, brown, red, yellow and black persons are not equal to us white folks. Not equal isn’t about equal rights, it means they believe that Jews and non-whites ARE. NOT. HUMAN. They believe the Bible says that all non-white people are cursed and doomed. They are all over this stuff. Fortunately, my ex was able to extract himself from the whole mess, but unfortunately it was not in time to save our marriage. Thanks for putting this story on. People need to be real Americans when it comes to dealing with these hateful, dangerous people. We need to use the Constitution as it was intended to be used, to protect the rights of all Americans, regardless of race, gender or creed. Hate is not a creed, it’s a crime.�

They wanted him to believe God’s people are white and only white, and that the United States of America is the Promised Land, and that being an American means being a White Christian Jew-hater and n. hater. They made it clear that our friends who were non white or Jewish were a problem and needed to be gone from our lives. They were very specific. They backed this up with Biblical references. One of the creepiest parts of my sojourn into the world of Constitutionalists and the Identity Movement was going to church. As you mention here, Cpaulsy, there were all “sorts” of people in the church during services. What you don’t mention, and maybe don’t know, is that unless they’re in the inner circle, they DON’T KNOW WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON. One of our friends had a Jewish wife and she started to come to service to be with him and introduce their children to “Papa’s church”. They wound up divorced…he accepted the pastor’s directive and passed it on to his wife. She had to give up being a Jew or stop coming to church. She took the kids and left.

Unfortunately, lots of people will and you’ll just have to keep educating them. And just as unfortunate is that the extremists do spout a lot of stuff that sounds close to truth.       I actually have taken several university classes and advise many on Civil Rights. At no point does it read “And they shall mix races.” I invite you to read Plato’s Republic where it reads, “A republic should be no larger than a leaders voice shall carry.” This is peace through separation by nationalism. This is amusing to say the least. I saw my mostly white middle class suburb turn into a 3rd world hell hole, due to Mexicans and African Americans moving into it through programs such as section 8 or housing vouchers. Twenty years later almost no one white is still there and crime/drugs run rampant.

I am planning to move into the Kalispell area as soon as I leave Military service, I am not religious or most of these other stereo types that have been thrown around on this forum. I do wish to raise my family in a nice town, I have many valuable skills, I am a productive member of society, and if you met me you wouldn’t even know I was a white nationalist. Is it so wrong that I want a nice place to raise my family?.

I am not a supremacists, I do not hold that I am a superior being, but I do not wish to raise my children in the multicultural nightmare that I grew up in. I have seen comments on here saying take all the people who want to segregate themselves from non whites or are supremacists and take them up into the mountains and make sure they do not come back out…. They have a word for grouping a whole people together and killing them, its called genocide. Some of you Montanans advocating this, while at the same time saying what a warm welcoming people you are should really take a closer look at yourself. Do you not agree Gaijin ? Since it is one of your post I am referring to.

Also of note; there is a difference between white nationalist and white supremacists. One just wants to be around people of similar culture/ethnicity and believes in separating themselves from places that do not have this and where they can not be happy to live their lives or raise there family’s. If you would, I’d like you to read my post (under One of the Fish). My beloved ex-husband was as I can tell you are, a decent man. (Less the info re: hippie mislead you, we didn’t call ourselves that.) But we dressed like hippies sort of–homemade clothes, lots of wool and cotton–and so it was that we caved into the label because in the long run, it just didn’t really matter. Labels don’t matter, but truth surely does. We were essentially rural, mountain people. We lived simply,hunted, fished, grew our own food, home-birthed and home-schooled our kids, went to church and sometimes didn’t go, but always believed. We had no TV, no electricity. “Fun” was hanging out eating with friends, talking about God, believing in miracles, playing music, keeping each other safe. We were, in short, damn good Americans. I do hope you move to Kalispell and take your good heart with you, and keep it intact. The Flathead Valley is a welcoming, loving place. It helps to remember it’s in Montana, so life is not soft and fuzzy; it bugs the hell out of me that people equate brotherly love and acceptance with soft and fuzzy, or God forbid, tree-hugging. Montana is bear country. You’re right in saying that human beings love living with and around those of similar tastes and interests, which often leads to neighborhoods and communities based in race and ethnicity. We’re herd animals, after all, and inclined toward “our own”, so to speak. You’re right to say that sometimes, in some communities, this leads to suffering and crime. I pray that you please remember that if you transplant yourself into an all-white situation, the same could be said of that neighborhood if the self-chosen “whiteness” is based in the belief that being brown, or red, yellow, black or tan is what determines the worth of a human being. Crime and suffering can look American, that’s what’s so misleading. It can get real, real confusing when the people you’ve come to love and admire turn out to be the same people who think that non-white human beings are not human beings at all, but something “lesser than”, something inherently “wrong”. We are ALL God’s children.

My sense is that you’re likely around the age my ex-husband was when he was drawn to the notion, true in fact, that we are sovereign individuals in the eyes of God. Thank God he lived long enough to not fall for the rest of it. Unfortunately, as I mentioned in my first post, our marriage didn’t survive the ordeal–I was simply too afraid of what I saw and heard to stick around while he sorted it out. I hope you and your family avoid a similar fate.

      Not at all. What April did I think was mighty fine. They lived in Bakersfield, and she decided to home school them. Then when they moves to Kalispell, they were placed in public schools. No harm in that. Home schooled kids due better usually than those who attend public schools. As to them being taught what she wanted them to know, theres not that really much of a difference between April telling her kids that racial “diversity” is bad and some teacher telling them it is wonderful. They always have and had a choice, and they are racially aware young adult 19 year olds that were raised well by their mother. Keep up the good work April!

I was born and have lived all my life in Montana, spending many of my summers as a child in the Flathead valley. Is it sad that these white supremacist have found a enclave in NW Montana, and it is sad that they live such bitter, fear filled lives just outside a national treasure like Glacier National Park. The last time I lived and worked in So. Cal [where I grew up], I never heard English spoken once in my 4 mile round trip walk to work each day.
My wife could not stand at a bus stop with out being sexually harassed by mexicans and blacks.

  Shouldn’t the Southwest be overwhelmingly Mexican (a mix of Hispanic and Native American)? That is their ancestral land. Where else would they be? I lived in Albuquerque for nearly 30 years. There is no clear majority there and people enjoy the diversity of cultures. If you go ANYWHERE with a racial superiority chip on your shoulder, you will meet with hostility.
  
  Discrimination cuts in both directions. The key is to get people to think logically and not emotionally. There are many peoples with an axe to grind over the injustices of the past.       “Balkanization”, as you call it, happens when people compartmentalize and segment people into groups. The more you segment the population, the worse it gets. If any group feels marginalized by the larger nation, there is tension and eventually, conflict.

      I am going to speculate that if it were Africans who came to colonize Europe 500 years ago, enslaved Whites and took them across the ocean, beat and raped them for a few hundred years, then liberated those Whites, but gave them little opportunity, you would see things differently.

      Discrimination is wrong. However, the European Colonizers did take away the human and civil rights of the ancestors of the African Americans, and Native Americans in North America through the use of slavery, rape and murder. It is the burden of all American society to help correct the wrongs of the past. The best way to do that is to give everyone equal opportunity, education, healthcare, access to housing and nourishment.
      
      The Firefighters case has little to do with education and a lot to do with testing designed to keep out minorities. There should be equal representation of minorities in the Fire Dept. as in the community it serves.
      
      Forcing people into ghettos and keeping them in poverty is indefensible. You can call people “free”, but that doesn’t necessarily make it so. We must allow all people to rise to all levels of society and live in the same relative comfort. If affirmative action is necessary, so be it, to the point where the racial mix comes close to the society it serves.

      Europeans did not enslave Africans, in the first place, Africans enslaved their own and sold their own to Europeans. Even the first democracy of Greece had slavery. This was something accepted for thousands of years and is still going on in Africa today. Even the precedence for slavery in North America came from one African man claiming rights over another African man who was an indentured servant in what was the colony of Virgina in 1654.
      
      Now I direct your attention to South Africa where the Boer are being wiped out in what the United Nations just began an investigation into genocide against these Europeans settlers. On average 90 whites are murdered, raped, or tortured each month. Of the nearly nine million, only 4 million remain in South Africa and about 3 million have moved to other countries so they would not be slaughtered. That is America’s future and looking at cities all around the USA the signs are all to clear.

But they know that, for instance here in the metro Atlanta area which encompasses a large area even 40 to 60 miles outside of the city of Atlanta, most violent crime is committed on a daily basis by black males.

ALL kinds of violence from casual armed attacks on the streets of Atlanta, to armed home invasions, to armed carjackings, to armed bank robberies, to rapes, gang rapes, drive by shootings, and all the other myriad of violent crime we are blessed with from our non Whites. The wonders of diversity simply know no bounds…lol.

What we have seen here in the metro Atlanta area for the past thirty or so years is Whites moving away from the city of Atlanta, living in safe, thriving areas, only to have these same areas invaded by non Whites, and the crime rate goes sky high, and Whites move elsewhere leaving behind yet another blighted, crime ridden, non White filled hellhole.

There are cities in the metro Atlanta area that have begun to realize that everyone can’t sell their homes now and move far away, so mostly White areas have begun to try to save what is left of their areas. They have begun to take control of their areas, turning them into cities, outside of the legal and other entanglements involving blacks, in order to maintain control over their areas before they, too, become invaded by those who will simply ruin what’s left of the White way of life here.

North Fulton, which includes black ruined and run city of Atlanta, has begun to get out of Fulton County and out from under the financial control of Atlanta blacks, by becoming their own cities, under their own control. Getting out from under the financial and other control of blacks is the only hope for Whites to be able to maintain what’s left of their communities in the Atlanta metro area.

We’re already seeing what happens when the economy goes bad: blacks desperate for money and other goodies, uninterested in trying to earn money on their own, are simply doing what comes naturally: going after Whitey, from armed attacks on the streets to home invasions, to armed bank robberies, to breaking into businesses after hours, etc.

Things will only continue to get worse here as the economy worsens and blacks realize that when the going gets tough, they simply don’t have what it takes to survive without taking it from Whitey.

The next five to ten years in this area will be very interesting. I live far enough away from the city, out where Whitey arms himself and fights back, that I’m not worried. Any attempt to commit criminal behavior in my neighborhood will be met with bullets, I can assure you.

The jews who still own and control the media in this country are getting desperate, and realize that a new day is dawning: Whitey is waking up…slowly to be sure, but waking up indeed.

America may not survive, but Whitey WILL survive. We could take this country back tomorrow if we only had the will to do it. But things are not bad enough quite yet. But we’re getting there, and Whitey is beginning to see just what the future is going to look like.

Whites need to turn away from the liars on the talk radio circuit: the Hannitys, Boortzes, Limbaughs, and all the other nitwits leading Whites down the path to self destruction. Whites need to use the gray matter between their ears and think for themselves and stop getting their talking points from what they hear on the radio. When in the hell did Whites get so stupid and gullible?

One day in the future, time in this country will be marked by intervals between mass killings. I only hope with all my heart that it is non Whites who will be taken out, not my people. But I am ready and willing to be a foot soldier in the war to take back this country for White people.

Educate yourselves people. It’s not hyperbole or alarm or exaggeration or paranoia or mind control that Whites are in big trouble in this country. It is the truth and it is evident right here on the internet. All you have to do is look and you can find the truth. Open your mind and be willing to accept facts, even if they are contrary to what everyone around you is saying.

I was extremely disappointed in your ability as a reporter when, during your recent interview with Mr. Holthouse, you accepted without question his statement that you have to fill out more paperwork to buy cold medicine in Montana than you do to buy an AK-47 with a thirty round clip.
First, most cold medicine can be purchased with no paperwork at all. I will, therefore, assume he is referring to the requirements concerning psuedoephedrine purchase as required by the “Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005″. This act requires a customer’s signature in a log book and presentation of a valid photo ID.
If I were to walk into a gun store in Montana, the facility would be required to comply with the “Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act of 1993″. This law requires the store to check with the FBI or other designated agencies to ensure that the buyer does not have a criminal record or isn’t otherwise ineligible to make the purchase.
It seems to me that Mr. Holthouse’s statement is at best misleading and at worst a gross misrepresentation of the requirements of federal legislation.

I happen to listen to NPR as do many others. A third position is neither liberal or conservative ideologically. Many nationalists actually follow green policies for instance that liberals only give talk too. Nationalist see this as a means to become self-relent and sustainable away from foreign controls. Some people in Montana are putting “Native” bumper stickers on their car and absolutly HATE people they perceive as transplants from places like California…. the only people they hate more than a brown or black person is a black man from California.

Seeing how Montana has only been settled by whites for less than 200 years and they are were all transplants I find the “Native” concept to be indicative of the level of education and intelligence many of these people possess.

Just like hating the federal government while taking food stamp and unemployment benefits… hipocracy runs rampant in the flathead valley.

People can choose to live anywhere they want, unfortunately Montana seems to attract all the right wing nut jobs. I have lived in Montana my whole life, and I have traveled the country extensively for work, working in places like Texas, Alabama, Arkansas and California for months on end. I have seen a great deal in a great many places, but what makes Montana so great is not that the majority of people are white, but its way of life (related to outdoor activities) and its tolerance of others, including other races, religions, and extremists. The real native people of Montana have dark skin, and most people of Montana are not racist or extremist. We can’t keep people from moving hear, but we can work to educate people about the radical agenda these “white only” and anti-semitic groups propagate, as we have had to do at other times. I will not be welcoming of anyone who is a member of these groups, and I suggest that other like minded people do the same. You can come here if you want, just don’t expect to feel welcome.

  Humans are like rats in a way. We can adapt to almost anything. Even you have adapted to poisonous food and a lack of exercise. I have blue eyes and blonde hair because my Scandinavian blood line hunted in the fog on land and at sea in cold climates. Other humans adjusted to their environment over thousands of years. Look at our natives here in Montana, beautiful prime specimens of what a hunter and warrior should be, molded by generations of hunting in the mountains. Judging people based on skin color is not only ignorant, it limits your potential.
  
  How do you protect your way of life? You exercise your God given rights and tend to your family and self. I highly doubt my Norwegian lineage will be in danger. We want a place for only white people so we don’t go extinct. Say there is mother and her children in their house. To the mothers surprise she finds a vicious rattlesnake under the bed.
