Court Says Rumsfeld Can Be Sued

American citizens don’t lose their Constitutional rights just because there’s a war on. That’s what federal judges have ruled in two different cases against former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

Rumsfeld is being sued over the alleged torture of three U.S. citizens who were working as contractors in Iraq. One was a military translator; the others blew the whistle on possible illegal activity, only to become “enemy combatants.” Rumsfeld claims immunity, and the Obama administration is backing him up.
