Plane Crash Pilot Had Decades-Long Feud with IRS

Software engineer and part-time musician Joe Stack, who crashed his plane into IRS offices in Austin Texas yesterday, left a 3000 word manifesto about his bitter feud with the IRS, saying, “nothing changes unless there is a body count.”  We have the latest on the story with Russell Gold, staff reporter for The Wall Street Journal.

A Closer Look At Clergy Sex Abuse

In Ireland, Dublin’s Archbishop met with victims of clergy sex abuse today, following a closed door conversation between Pope Benedict XVI and 24 Irish Bishops. The gathering was prompted by several devastating reports released by the Irish government detailing decades of clergy abuse on thousands of children. We speak with Audrey Carville, who reports from Dublin for the BBC, we also speak with two victims of sex abuse: John Kelly, founder of the group Irish Survivors of Child Abuse, and attorney Helen McGonigle, of Greenwich, Rhode Island.

Tiger Woods Emerges

In his first public statement since the allegations of infidelities late last year, Tiger Woods makes a public statement today. The Big Fish Swimming… To Chicago

Scientists this week are using nets and electric current along the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal to determine if the invasive species the bighead Asian carp, which starve out other fish and are known to hurtle from the water when startled, have reached Lake Michigan en masse. The huge fish have been the focus of a 15-year battle, pitting Illinois and its shipping industry against neighboring states who want the government to close Chicago-area shipping locks closed to keep the carp out of Lake Michigan. We speak with Cliff Banks, professional fisherman and Mayor of Spring Valley, Illinois, about how the carp have affected his city which hosts a big fishing tournament next month.
