Jerry Lewis Honored at Oscars

We revisit a conversation we had with Jerry Lewis, who was honored at Sunday’s Academy Awards with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for his work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In a talk with Robin Young, Lewis remembers his longtime friendship and professional partnership with Dean Martin.

Okemah, Okla., is the birthplace of folk legend Woody Guthrie. It’s also the hometown of singer-songwriter John Fullbright, who at just 24, is already being compared with folk great Townes Van Zandt.
