Former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate George McGovern joins us for a President’s Day conversation about the 16th president. McGovern’s book, “Abraham Lincoln,” is part of The American Presidents series. McGovern says Lincoln is a national treasure and a legend that best represents the democratic ideal.

Okemah, Okla., is the birthplace of folk legend Woody Guthrie. It’s also the hometown of singer-songwriter John Fullbright, who at just 24, is already being compared with folk great Townes Van Zandt.
